Guess what! I'm going on vacation! Woohoo! I've felt like a chicken with my head cut off lately trying to prep for this thing, making sure everything at work is tied off, and still managing getting the kids fed and kept alive like mothers are supposed to.
<Sidenote: Disclaimer/Confession: The above picture is not my actual suitcase. My actual suitcase is bursting at the seams with kids swim trunks, pull-ups, and pirate costumes. Yes, you read that right...pirate costumes.> It was my oldest's idea to go on a Disney Cruise. When I asked the kids last year if they wanted to go to Disney World this year, they said, "No, we want to go on a Disney Cruise to Mexico!"

Two places I dread: malls and airports. Why, you ask? Because malls and airports are notorious for having escalators. Yes, I have an irrational fear of escalators. Wait, scratch the "irrational" part, because escalators are DEATH TRAPS.
I mean, seriously, who decided it would be a good idea to make stairs MOVE, let alone METAL stairs that look like a hundred RAZORS lined up perfectly in a row, and assume that everyone is coordinated enough to step onto said moving razors while at great heights? GENIUS.
Raise your hand if you're sick of this crappy weather! Here in the Pacific Northwest, we head into the fall and winter knowing that the sun is going away for a good 8 months. We joke about how when the summer ends and the weather turns, you can kiss the sun goodbye.

We play hooky from work if we get one day or even one afternoon of sunny weather. And for us fashionistas, it's especially hard. We've been stocking up on spring and summer clothes since January and February. All our fellow IG fashionistas are already donning their off-the-shoulder tops, denim shorts, and espadrilles. So how do we get through this excruciating time between winter and spring? We get creative with our winter and spring clothes! Here's how I like to start to incorporate spring clothes into my outfits: |
