Nordstrom Rack Vince Camuto Shoe Haul

Hey you fabulous person, you!

Yeah, I'm a little bubbly today. It was a sunny day in Seattle (until the rain and clouds rolled in), and I had a fun lunch with good friends and colleagues to see one of my dear friends off on a new adventure in life!

I'm a super sentimental person (yeah, I know this has nothing to do with shoes so far...trust me, you'll see the connection soon), so when the end of an era comes along, I get all teary-eyed knowing that things will never be the same. Over the years, I've realized that relationships come and go.

But some people - like the friends I had lunch with today - you know you want to keep in your life in some way, shape, or form. It may not look or feel the same as it did when you first met, but you just know that they will always have a place in your life and in your heart...like a good pair shoes.

<Cue awkward transition to talking about shoes.>

Didn't see that one coming, did you? Okay, the comparison is a stretch, I know. But hear me out:
  • Like a good friend you know you can count on, when you find a designer that you consistently like, you know that you can keep going back.
  • Like when you meet someone for the first time but you feel like your souls just click, sometimes when you put on a pair of shoes, you just know that they're meant to be on your feet.
  • Like when you know this person will always have a place in your life, a classic pair of shoes will never go out of style and will always have a place in your closet.

"Okay, Julie, enough with the strange and somewhat uncomfortable analogies," you say as you roll your eyes at me. Let's talk about the actual shoe haul!

Vince Camuto is one of those designers that I consistently go back to - for sandals, pumps, boots, and booties alike. They're always good quality, comfortable, and a decent price point. They're definitely not as budget friendly as Target, but not as spendy as say, Rag & Bone.

So Vince Camuto on Hautelook/Nordstrom Rack coupled with my itching desire for spring shoes resulted in a major haul! Here's what I got!
Picture
Black Booties - Yes, I know these are not really spring shoes, but I've been needing a pair of black booties. They're super comfy, but I'm a little weird about not wearing socks with booties, and I couldn't really wear these without my socks showing. Also, my heels kept slipping out of the back, so they had to go back. BUT, they were comfy and cute, and we know that everyone's feet are different, so they might work for you!

Ruffle Ankle Strap Sandals - Omg, these were sooo comfy and soft when I put them on! (Yes, I know...comfy for heels.) The heel height is shorter than other designers' versions, so I had to snag these when I saw them. Much more practical for use during the day. Unfortunately, when I put them on, I immediately recognized that they weren't really me. Ruffles aren't really my thing. So back they went too!
Espadrille Wedges (Black and Tan) - Nothing says "spring" like a pair of espadrille sandals! I love that these never go out of style. These are so classic with the thick straps - no crazy designs to go out-of-style! They can be dressed up or down, and the heel height is perfect for me to be able to walk around in them all day. There's also a decent amount of cushion for comfort, and the straps are loose, so they don't cut into your feet. (Note: they come in an off-white too!)

Black Ankle Strap Sandals - This is basically the same sandal as the ruffle one, but with a thinner strap across the toes and slightly chunkier heels! So just as comfy and with a practical heel height. One thing I like about this one is that the toe strap is in just the right position to not bother my (ahem) bunions. (Yeah, I'm keeping it real. I got some minor bunion issues going on (TMI), but I continue to deny it and wear pointy-toed shoes.) It looks like sizes are limited, so I've linked a similar pair as well.
These classics...well, the ones that I kept...will no doubt get some good use, and will remain in my closet for quite some time! Now, if only the weather would cooperate here in Seattle so I can wear them...

Happy shoe shopping!
